Hi everyone,

I'm applying this summer and I want to make my list of schools, but I'm looking for more information than what's found in the MSAR. My friend bought a book that reviews each med school and highly recommended it to me. I was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations on a book that might have similar information.

Buy the MSAR and buy whatever book your friend recommended. The MSAR is the best reference out there and is all you need.

You've got it backwards. It's not (1) read about schools, (2) apply to the ones you like. It's more like (1) apply to a ****-ton of schools, (2) read about the schools that like you.

 👍

I've looked at several books and found that the MSAR is the best by far. It has reliable numbers and includes all important information in an organized way. I also have a US News and World Report book from a few years ago that was a little different than the MSAR and helped a little bit. I'd say just stick with the MSAR and use school websites/SDN if you want to know more.

Don't fall in love. You will probably get your heart broken. Or is it better to have loved and lost? Discuss.
