Anyone retake the DAT within the same cycle?

I took my DAT in the spring, and already applied and have gotten interviews most likely because of my high gpa. My DAT was on the lower end (17AA), and to keep my options open and to be safe I have been told to re-take it and I am at the end of the month, and on my AADSAS I wrote that I am retaking it.

My question is are some schools not offering me interviews because my app says that I am retaking it? Or was my app considered complete when I submitted in with my current DAT score ( I submitted it mid July). I'm just confused as why I'm not getting any rejections yet, or if I'm not getting interviews because they are waiting for my new DAT score ( only one school emailed me saying they're waiting for my new score so my app is on hold)

Not sure if anyone's been in this boat before but if you have advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! I actually retook my DAT within the same cycle and a lot of schools, indeed, waited for my new scores before giving me invites. I advise you to take your retake DAT soon! I got one interview before my retake and then 4 after so I think schools definitely waited 🙂

Ah thank you! When did you take it first and then retake it? How early/late in the cycle?!

I applied with my 19 and just updated my application with a 21. I already have interviews, so updating late isn't a problem. Make sure you update this month though!

I retook my DAT on 8/30 my first dat was in January
