I used to spend way too much time typing up my notes, especially after a long day.
And the worst part is trying to remember all the personal details about all the patients I saw that day- the things that actually help build a strong patient-doctor relationship to get higher case acceptance and patient referrals.

A few months ago, I started using CareNotes and it’s been so helpful.
It generates clinical notes in real-time and saves me a ton of time, so I’m not stuck at the end of the day trying to type up everything.
I haven’t manually typed up a clinical note in months now and I def don’t miss it at all.

There’s all this talk about AI, but this is an actual AI tool doctors can use right now that works and it’s free to download on the AppStore.

Everyone should check it out. Has anyone else tried it?
Would love to hear your thoughts and see if anyone else has found any other AI tools that really help save time.

Notes are a bane of practice. When we went to the EMR, it added 75 minutes to my day.

This is yet another thing thrust upon us by plaintiff attorneys and Medicare/Medicaid bureaucrats that reduces access to care.

I hear you! notes can be a huge time drain, and the shift to EMRs definitely hasn’t made things easier. It’s frustrating that so much of our time gets pulled away from actual patient care.
But if notes are unavoidable, I’d rather have AI doing the heavy lifting than spend my own time on it. Would love to hear if you’ve found anything else that helps cut down the admin time.

If I don't do my notes immediately after I see the patient I will forget important information.

I have all my templates pre-written and my DAs will put them into the patient charts with the general details. I will always read them and edit as necessary, but I usually spend 1-3 minutes per patient. Having the templates and using the same materials consistently has made the process smooth.
