Hey!
I'm gonna take in November too. Second time around

First time, I didn't focus too much on reading. I'm going to practice reading.
For biology, I suggest you do Kaplan (if you didn't before). There were for sure some detailed questions on there
For chemistry and math, Collins

Overall, Collins and the three practice tests from
parsons helped the most!

Good luck 🙂 we got this

I'm taking it in November too after taking it for the first time in September. I'm definitely sticking with Collins for Chemistry and using Kaplan for Biology. For the other subjects, I'll use the Pearson Practice exams. Good luck to all of us! 🙂 We can do it!

you know, I saw BIO questions and at the start I was like WTF is this?? so many damn passage, and they are sooo damn long. I started panicking... but then I just calmed down and killed bio. I think you just have to go fast, just spend 30 secs at max on a question. Idk if this method will suit you but I finished bio in 30 min and kept last 10 to double check or do any question you skipped. I never feel satisfied with my 1st run, I always have to double check. I double checked for chem too but couldn't for math 🙁

was your composite score good or are you taking it again?

and the bio passages were coming back to back so it was overwhelming

the critical reading was my lowest score and i dont know what I can do to bring it up?

The reading was the hardest for me and the lowest.

Take an SAT Or ACT book and do a reading passage a day or like 3/4 a week. I think only practice can help reading

No, I am not giving it again, I got 93 despite getting 29 in reading. I feel like I panicked through the reading section. First passage took me a long time, so I ended up rushing everything. If I were to do it again I'd go slower for all of them. Its better to guess the 1 whole passage then half guess everything

How did you study for bio?

For those who have taken the October PCAT recently, did you find similar questions to the Pearson Practice tests? And was the newest version of Dr.Collins extremely helpful? It use to be that the questions were basically verbatim for the most part. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I took mine today! Similar questions to Pearson? I remember seeing familiar questions for bio and chem, either pearson or dr collins BUT not a lot of math...

Even the old version that i used was helpful! So the new Dr Collins is prolly helpful too lol

Did you only use Collins to study? I'm really nervous about the orgo. Was the bio mainly general bio?

How did people do on the oct/nov pcat? also, do you think the new version this year is harder or easier than the old version?

I took the October PCAT and preliminary composite is 90+. I used dr. collins & kaplan (biology/statistics) to study, and i felt both were helpful. I personally recommend the Pearson Practice tests and found questions not exact but somewhat similar for biology, chemistry, and math sections. The Collins chemistry and biology tests were great to work on timing for the stand alone questions. I finished both sections with about 10 minutes left. I honestly can't remember if there was more orgo than chem, but I remember there being a good amount of A&P. Math was tricker, and I had to guess on a bunch.

Did you have the newest version of dr.collins? I wonder if the updates were spot on. And congrats on your score!!! That's great!
