As I wrote in an earlier post, I have to write a personal statement for a medical-type internship. This is the first PS I've had to write since entering college, so I could use some help.
I plan to finish the first draft today (it only has to be one page, single-spaced), and I was wondering if any of you would like to read and critique it (constructively!).
My main concern right now is whether to "tell a story," as odelay told me he did, or to write a more general essay, as a friend of mine says he did. I think I'll start with the former, since if I find my own general essay boring, how can I expect an admissions officer to like it?
If anyone would be willing to read and comment (privately) on my hopefully-soon-to-be-finished first draft, please post or pm me!
Thanks! 🙂
