Tonight's "60 Minutes" did a piece on this small, isolated town in rural Texas, stating that it's become something of a cultural Mecca. Several major movies have been produced here over the years, among other things.

And a resident said that this town of 2,000 does not have a dry cleaners OR a pharmacy. Some entrepreneur better get their bags packed!

2000 people isn't that much. Not really enough to support a pharmacy. If it's a long enough way from the nearest pharmacy and there are other communities nearby without one, maybe it would work.

"Marfa is the kind of place where people actually want to live. But the lack of a hospital weeds out retirees. And young families with kids are deterred by corporal punishment in the public school. So the artsy population is limited: to the wealthy with their part-time homes, temporary residents on prestigious fellowships from such places as the Lannan Foundation, and the truly hardcore."

Doesn't sound like a population with high rx utilization. Sounds like you might be better off if you were an herbalist, to take care of the artsy hippie types.
