Good luck! My mailing date was 6/24. My app was missing my DAT scores and letters. Application was complete on 8/5. This is my first interview, and hopefully there will be more to follow.

Ahh i see! you will def get more interviews! its still early. And looks like I'm waiting for a rejection lol. My app was sent out complete July 22nd and it has not changed from "waiting for review" status 🙁
 
On UoP's website my status still says "waiting for review." You still have a chance.

That's my top choice and no interview offer for me 🙁

Mine was complete on 7/29 and my status still says "waiting for review" also. Hopefully we will hear something soon!!!

OMG, now I'm going to be checking my phone every 30s. Did you both send your apps out in the first mailing? I'm really hoping I get an interview there.

I have seen the statistics for UoP and it seems that 100% of those who get an interview will get an acceptance.

Can anyone validate this? or disprove it? Thanks.

I have heard similiar things. But its not 100%, its actually more like 80-90%

My app was mailed on 6/24 but it was missing my DAT scores and my LOEs. My scores and LOEs were received in mid July.

Ha ha. I must have gotten up too early this morning. The interview is set for October.
 
If you get an interview at UoP you get wait listed regardless and if you don't get in this year you get in the next year automatically. Pretty much once you get an interview there you got into dental school. For some reason a lot of people don't know this... Thats one reason its so many peoples top choice.

Also waiting for a call! Really want to get into UOP!
 
If you are from OOS, I think an interview basically means an acceptance. I think the turnover is like 100%...not sure though. I am definitely hoping for a call from this school!

I'd say that wouldn't make the best impression... hahaha.

I'm hoping for a call soon as well. Hang in there, it's still early, so hopefully we'll hear soon!
 
So has anyone else heard from them? I'm starting to get pretty anxious about this.
 
So bummed...I was part of the first batch and still no phone call. I thought my stats matched UOP...aw well.

I went to their dental simulation course and they told me. My brother also went there and I made sure it was correct before I posted it.

Once you get an interview at UOP you are pretty much in dental school. Only you can mess it up but doing something dumb.

I've been told the same thing multiple times by an admissions rep who has stopped by my campus. They pretty much want you if you get an invite. You have to REALLY mess up your visit to not get in once you get an interview. It's almost a formality to make sure you're not totally insane.

I received my phone call today. Very excited!

My app was sent from AADSAS in early Aug and my DAT was taken 2 weeks ago.

This is music to my ears! UofP is one of my top choices. It sounds like UofP treat the interview as confirmation while some schools treat it as part of the evaluation.

Mine went from "Waiting for DAT scores" (or something like that) to "Interview". Don't worry, it's still early. Adcom can only review so many applications in a given day. They'll get to yours eventually.
 
so it seems like those with uop interviews didnt get the email "your application is now under active review"

any of u?

I have the same question. Just got an email that my apps under active review.. wait 7-8 weeks? So for people who got inteviews, how long did it take after you got this email?
 
I never received an e-mail that stated my application was under active review. I received my invite prior to them sending the e-mail out. My application was complete on 07/18, so it took about 6 weeks for them to review everything.

I got the same email on 07/18 about my application being complete email... But got the active review email today.
 
how high are the average PAT scores for UOP?
 
Just to clarify...

For those who have gotten interviews, congrats you have gotten into dental school! Regardless of instate or out of state!

How do I know? From history.

According to the ADEA guides, UofP has a 100% interview:acceptance rate, regardless of state residency.

I wish I knew this back in June when I applied. I thought about applying to UofP but decided against it because it was getting too expensive. Oh well
