Anyone with mediocre stats get an interview yet?

What do you considere mediocre?

a GPA that is between 3.0-3.3. But im wondering that anyone with this kind of a GPA has gotten an interview/ or accaptance by ofsetting the GPA with EC's or a good DAT score?

There won't be any news about acceptances until at least December 1st, so you'll have to look at last years stats on Pre-Dents (Albino's link) if you're curious about that.
yah that counts. what do you consider a 'high' enough DAT score that could offset that kinda of sGPA??
Because he/she is a member of the admissions committee.....
By the way, I'm surprised that you consider 3.0-3.3 a "mediocre" range. Try "pitiful."

yes I have a mediocre sub 3 gpa but i got an interview last yr and have 2 this year. Im asian as well but there are thankfully some schools that like to look at the complete application rather than just numbers.
unfortunately if they had to choose between two good interviewees to accept, theyll look at the numbers to decide who they want. (my situation last yr :/)

Of course 🙂 Mail-out date was 6/27. Already had my interviews at MWU-AZ, ASDOH, LECOM

Imback I don't understand why you have to be so rude to people. People get into schools with a wide ranges of GPA and DAT scores, no need to judge and call scores "pitiful". Didn't your mom every tell you, "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all?" 🙂
AND... OP you have a fine shot don't worry about what others are telling you. Keep working hard and eventually you will be accepted into school. If you're passionate about getting into school and becoming a dentist then don't quit and you will get into school and become a dentist!

With your 3.37 cGPA and 3.0 sGPA, I'm sure you would need a lot of encouragement from others.
🙂 You're so clever! And you do your research! But if you would have read further you would have known that I calculated my AADSAS GPA in relation to my school and it got bumped up to a 3.52 cGPA and 3.33 sGPA! Pretty cool huh?? Aren't you happy for me?? hahaha

Hard to know why, but there are lots of factors considered in an application. Without even knowing anything else about your application, when did you have it COMPLETE, how many schools did you apply to, and besides instate, did you apply to OOS friendly?

But to the OP- Don't be discouraged if your stats are on the lower side. Like I said, I have a "lower" science gpa, but I have 4 interviews...don't give up!!!

Thanks! The email came on 10/31. My interview is 12/13. 😀 It doesn't seem like they are sending out huge batches of interview invites so keep your chin up, there are still lots of interviews to be had!
