Anyone with VR:7 got accepted? (ESL)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I dont personally know anybody in previous cycles who has gotten accepted with a 7 in VR (although I'm sure there has been). Who I do know is someone with very comparable scores to yours, including a 7 in VR, who has so far gotten interviews at both Stanford and Harvard among other schools.

I know of someone admitted to a US MD school with a 5 VR (ESL). However, the GPAs were near perfect and they also scored a 15 on the BS section...

Wait are you serious about Harvard? URM?

I'll be just happy with getting an acceptance..I don't care where it is as long its within US borders. 🙂

Thanks for sharing.

Well that gives me at least some hope. Do you know what tier that school was?

Personally know two people, with a 7 and a 6 in VR, that got in. If the rest of the application is good, you should still be OK at some schools.

If you do mind me asking, do you know what schools they got into to?? (I'm trying to make a list and see how are my chances before deciding to retake the mcat)..

It's rare. Better to re-take and improve your deficits, than hope on that <10% chance.

Even for a DO school?

I believe both got accepted to two schools (state and private- Wayne & Oakland). Their overall MCAT score was 30+ and they had pretty good apps otherwise. They were IS students so I know that Wayne has the IS bias, but I don't believe OU does if that helps ...
