Idk, I've spoken to him. His logic makes sense, and I'm inclined to believe him. Not saying its what I would do, but to each his own.
 
Vanlife isn't for everyone. You can do it a few years to save up serious cash/pay off debt but being a nomad all the time won't you get you anywhere with the girls... unless you are MGTOW.
 
You guys ever sent the videos of the guys who have a place set up in a storage unit?

Low COL, peaceful, and you're pretty much guaranteed to be in at least the top 5% of people in terms of income. People knock the "simpler" areas but it's the best bang for your buck, in my opinion. It's my plan, anyway.

He's been posting about his van for a couple of years now. And he's had lots of posts on the day to day logistics of living in his van. It all seems quite believable to me. He puts all his money into paying off his loans, and that is an admirable goal. The only thing I can't figure out, is how he gets a 2nd date with any gal, once she learns he lives in his van.

Don't you need a home address for mail and a bank account, stuff like that? Where do his tax forms and pharmacy license get sent?

Maybe the YMCA where he goes everyday to take a shower?
 
You can rent a physical mailbox at many UPS locations. I did it prior to moving just to have a local address.

2 years should be sufficient to pay back the loan if he’s living out of a van. Surely he’s not thinking about getting dates if he’s worried about paying off his loans.
In this day and age, who needs second dates. Just keep that tinder/bumble game strong.

What's taking so long? I paid off my loans in 2.5 years while splitting $1050/mo rent. If I had no rent or utilities it would have been way sooner.

Is the YMCA open 24/7? What happens if you need to take a dump in the middle of the night? What about cooking food? And of course getting girls in bed?
