Anyone who submitted their primary feel like they overlooked some things? Maybe spelling or grammar, or feel like their primary isn’t good enough? I felt good when I submitted, but now I feel nervous like I may have missed something. Is this a normal feeling? Anyone else in the same boat?

My best advice? Do NOT go back and review your application as it exacerbates the A-S-S syndrome @gonnif outlines above.

If you go back and review now, you will inevitably find something that you now feel could have been improved. Best case, it's a minor word choice issue or misplaced comma. Worst case, it's a face-palmingly-obvious typo or 5th-grade-level grammar error. But in EVERY case, it will be too late to correct it now, and therefore highly likely to case increased stress.

Once you have an interview invitation, go back through your application a few days before to refresh your memory then. But NOT before!

I regret including my cat in university housing as an IA. Other than that, I know I looked up and down the thing too many times to care at this point.

No. No pre-med has even been nervous about primary app submission before. You are the first 😉

Once you turn it in, it's done. Don't look back (and for the love of God don't look at it again unless you need to reapp because all that can do is add anxiety to your life). Focus on what you can control going forward - secondaries & interview prep. GL!

Haha at least that'll make your app memorable - maybe an advantage?

Yah, no one will care lol At least I hope not. Probably an advantage from cat lovers and a disadvantage from hard and fast people who hate animals and love rules.

To Op, And that is the thing, if you are honest on your app and didn’t lie or exaggerate the app is fine. Going back and checking things doesn’t change it.
