Anyone's AMCAS on hold b/c of transcript?

Am I the only one whose transcript is on hold because of the fact that their transcripts haven't been received. I'm kind of at a disadvantage because I took college classes in high school, so I'm waiting for 2 transcripts. I submitted my AMCAS application on July 9th and my transcipts were sent to AMCAS on the 9th too. I called them a while back, and they say that it can be delayed 10 business days before they get it, but it still says that they have not received them, and it has been way more than 10 business days. The good news is that the AMCAS still gets sent to the schools, just not as a finished product, so I have gotten a couple of secondaries back. Has anyone else been waiting for their transcripts to be received even though they sent it a long time ago?!? It would just be comforting to know that others are in the same boat. Thanks.

Join my club, I also took two courses as part of my high school program. So far my undergrad and grad transcripts has been received but I have to wait for this blasted transcripts that shows the high school course to be sent in.

Since two of my transcripts are in, can I send my LOR's now to the schools? What exactly am I waiting for in terms of sending LORs?

I know, doesn't this suck? Although I think you should send in the LORs, because your application has been delayed long enough. I figured that the sooner I got them in, the sooner my application would be complete. Plus, you can still get secondaries, so you know they have a file on you and they're less likely to lose anything. My college sends all of our LORs out at once to ALL the schools, so I say send them out ASAP and make your file complete.

One more question...how long did it take for you first transcripts to be received? I'm still waiting for the ones for both college and high school (from a local college). Thanks!

Okay, I will request that my LORs be sent on Monday. I requested that my undergrad and grad transcript be sent on July 10th. I called AMCAS on Tuesday and was told that they might have received the transcript but the actual process of updating your file takes a while because they are back-logged.

Anyway today, I got two emails today detailing the receipt of my transcript (both undergrad and grad). I was happy to see that.

As for my other transcript (from the high school program), I called the college to see if they processed by request BUT since I made the request by mail (as opposed to in-person)...they can't send me the pink paper they usually send student to let them know that their transcripts has been sent out to whoever.
So I just have to wait. I won't be too concerned about that for now, and I will work on getting my LOR ASAP.

I am very worried, I applying Early Desicion and I think the deadline for official transcripts is Tomorrow! Does anyone know? I had my bachelors and master's degree transcripts sent from the schools almost three weeks ago. I hope I don't screw this up. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Y'all are in for a wait. I *finally* had my transcripts received July 21, and I've been "in line and waiting for verification" every since.

Ironically enough, I got confirmation that one of my transcripts had been received just this afternoon, which I am happy about. The only scary thing is that it was from the college that I took classes from during high school, which was sent almost a week after the one from my current college. Has anyone had transcripts lost by them before? Should I have my college re-send it, since that one should have been received well before the other one? Damn this "fool proof" system

I really feel for you guys still waiting for transcripts to be received. The whole application process is a huge waiting game though, so get used to it. I remember anxiously awaiting receipt, verification, and now I'm dying as I wait for secondaries and my last LOR to be written.

i applied Early Decision as well, and they haven't updated my online status yet with my transcripts, they were mailed on July 22.... I have already received my secondary application though specifically from the school via email, so they know that i am applying EDP... i don't think that deadline means that they have to have your transcripts entered into the system by the 1st. i could be wrong though.

Well by some miracle, I received my first secondary today so that's good news. I didn't send my LOR's yet though. I will make sure to get that done first thing next week.
Meanwhile, I am crossing my finger that my third and last transcripts gets there soon.

Do you have to include the transcript request form, or can I just have my sschl include my AMCAS ID and that would be sufficient. I'm requesting mine online and really dont want to have to print out the form and take it to them to do so 😛 Especially since i'm taking august MCAT🙁

You have to print out that form from your AMCAS application and have your school include it when they send your transcripts.
Just to be safe, I would include it because I am not sure how strict AMCAS is with transcript request.

I hear you man. I asked two of my profs to write a letter for me a month ahead of the time I needed them, and just to be absolutely sure that they would get them out in time, I told them I was planning to send the LoRs out in two weeks. Of course, the two weeks came and passed and neither had turned them in, so I hounded them and eventually forced them to send. Unforuntately, by this time I was already 1 week behind the date when I was planning to send them out, so my apps didnt quite get to complete when I hoped they would.

I think its ironic that most profs have extremely strict due dates for assignments you turn in to them, but when they're given a deadline, all bets are off 🙂

yeah I figured to do that cause we already know how wack AMCAS can be sometimes.
Howz ur application process going otherwise, at least u took the April one, so interviews will be rolling in soon!!
