Anything from FAMU yet?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Wow, they are on probation? I have been working on my application, but maybe on second thought I won't apply. Anyone else feel that way?

I am white and not a FL resident so my chance are pretty slim....

well, here is another perspective on FAMU...
I was accepted to famu last year as a transfer student and i have really enjoyed it! Famu was not disorganized with my application at all, i applied, interviewed, and received my acceptance letter before the end of april
I know people say it is impossible to get in for various reasons but from my experience that is not the case... I am a white 22 year old female with only an AA degree (but with enough credits to be a brain surgeon) from a junior college:laugh: my gpa was a 3.7 (spread out over four years with pretty tiny class loads) which is pretty good but not a 4.0 and i had only worked in a pharmacy for about a year.. I really respect FAMU because they are concerned with determination, drive, and humbleness.. i know that they do not like arrogance at all!!! As far as classes go, they are challenging but definately achievable! People at FAM are very friendly and our class is pretty close considering we have only been together since august.. I also saw on a previous post that the instructors are not compassionate at FAMU, but i completely disagree. The instructors at FAM are way more compassionate than any teachers I have ever had (even in high school). They want you to know the material inside and out, but they are always there to help when you need them!:hardy: Well anyway, i just happened to see some negative posts and although they are valid experiences that others have had, i thought i would contribute mine:luck: Good luck and blessings to all who applied!!!

Does anybody know what questions they might ask during the FAMU interview and how to prepare for it. Thanks

If you are a Florida resident or interested in applying to schools in Florida, why don't you give a chance at the other four pharmacy schools in the state such as Nova, LECOM-Brandenton, UF (which accepts 300 students each year) and Palm Beach Atlantic.

To some applicants, it seems like FAMU is all they want to get into. However, there are other schools that are better and more organized than FAMU. I did my undergraduate studies at FSU (which is 10 minutes away from FAMU) and I have a lot of friends that go or graduated from FAMU. I used to hear complaints from my friends talking about their delayed financial aid disbursements, corrupted school administrators, poor overall management, and faculty members who are not very responsible for the learning of their students.

I was accepted to FAMU's 0-6 pharamcy program when I applied back in high schoo. However, after I visited FSU after FAMU Preview, I just decided to attend the school across the street. Now, I'm a pharamcy student at UF and I applied to many schools as well last year. However, I do not have any regret of not choosing FAMU.
