So I have my app in for this cycle and I was just wondering if there is anything to do in between now and interview time (hopefully I will get a couple). I know I need to prep for the interview and do secondaries but I was wondering if anyone did any extra volunteering or clinical work to add and talk about at the interview or if you should just continue with the same work and volunteering. Thanks for any help!

Relax and you don't have to do anything new.

Prepare for your interviews, especially by looking into interview feedback in SDN and previous school-specific threads.

Extra volunteering, research and/or clinical work would be good ways to generate content for update letters. Later on during the cycle, if you're sitting on a waitlist or you're post-interview and hoping to express interest, you'll be glad you have new things to say other than, "I really like your medical school and I hope you'll accept me."

Excellent advice.

Kalydeco is 'spensive!

If you did research early on in undergrad that you are disconnected with now you might want to brush up on it so that you are able to talk about it fluently in interviews. Maybe even meet with your old PI to see where the lab is at with it now. I only say this because a few of my interviews really probed me on my research and I think it helped that I had brushed up on the details before hand so I could talk about it well.

Other than that I did nothing to prepare except make sure my dry cleaning was ready to go.
