I've already been accepted to USC... I'm definitely not going to decline an acceptance based on "hopefully" getting in hahaha. I guess I worded that weirdly 🙂... anyways good luck to you all! My dad graduated from UNSOM in '92 and loved it. I wish I could go, but my fiance didn't get into grad school in Reno 🙁 booooo

Did you receive a letter on the March 15th saying you were on the alternate list? If yes, what was the date that they mailed it out?

So I'm actually in SF now, but they sent it to my parent's house in Reno, it came on Saturday (the 15th) and I'm not sure when it was mailed, but I would guess Friday the 14th, pure speculation though as I haven't seen the envelope.

Hi everyone. I am joining your conversation and I am in the same place as you all are. I am an alternate. Does anyone know how many alternates there are?? I was told I was in the top third, but the top third out of 50 isn't as good as the top third out of 20. *sigh*

Im a student at UNR and have lived here my whole life, my number one choice of schools is UNSOM by far, I truly love it here. If you guys don't mind me asking, what is your gpa etc.? Its hard to compare myself to people only applying to some of these Ivy leagues, and I know being a local is advantageous when applying to UNSOM, anywho you don't have to, I am just quite curious, thanks guys!!!

Got an alternate spot! They mailed it on 3/15. It seems like everyone who got a regular acceptance would have said yes or no by now... so I don't know what my chances are (to obtain admission) as an alternate.

Also I wonder if they tell you what your waitlist position is. Does anybody know? Thanks!

Call Linda and she will probably tell you your rough position on the list.

Hi, I got a letter from UNSOM dated 15 March that I made the alternate list, and admissions told me that I'm in the "middle third" of the list and they can send out an acceptance all the way until August! Does anyone have an opinion on my chances? I know I asked before but I didn't know my position. In-state.

Just wanted to come in again and say congrats to all who received acceptances. I'm planning to go to Reno next Friday, Sat, and Sun. Need to look around, get to know the area. Most importantly... find a place to live! Is anyone else visiting soon, or have you visited recently? I have a friend who lives in Reno who said that South Reno is the place to live. I have lived in Vegas for eighteen years, however I went out of state for college. I still have NV's driver's license, and all of that jazz. Will this hurt me at all?

I've been told that up to half? of the class is people who graduated from Nevada High Schools, went out of state, but maintained residency.
