AOA approval of ACGME internship

Any other residents out there who have applied for AOA approval of their allopathic internship? I submitted my application, my letter of exceptional circumstances, a letter from my program director..about 2 weeks ago, and I have heard nothing. I plan to call the AOA on Monday to see what the deal is.

Anyone know how long it takes to hear back from the AOA , and whats the process after applying for approval? I'd like to get this done and out of the way, I have a lot of things going on right now with my internship.
