AOA TRI vs ACGME prelim surgery

I will participate in the acgme match for a advanced position in radiology. If I do not match for acgme prelim med/transitional year, is it better to -
1. Rank acgme prelim surgery programs on my rank list.
2. SOAP into prelim surgery.
3. Scramble into AOA tri, is that even possible.

I know #3 is possible, but I have no idea if it’s better or worse than 1 & 2.

#3 is possible, There is one right now in Hattiesburg, MS that did just that. Matched ACGME rads and took an AOA TRI

the TRI needs to be acgme accredited for radiology.
