If I want to use my AP credit only for bio lab, and take biology courses from college, would it be okay?

I would contact your school, since at mine the lab is integrated into the 4 credit course, so you can't just elect to ignore the lab.
It depends on what your school will allow/what you actually scored on the AP exam.

you can use your AP credit for both and STILL take biology courses in college.

That's what I did freshman year. I took both lab and lecture for fall quarter, then dropped the lab portion the next two. I would suggest taking upper levels with lab (genetics, cell, etc) to fulfill that lab requirement - you do need it even with credit.
