After seeing all the various threads asking about AP credit, where the answer only pertains to one class, I thought it'd be good to get a thread going, showing all available prerequisite AP courses, and whether most Medschools will take them.

  • Biology
  • Calculus AB
  • Calculus BC
  • Chemistry
  • English Language
  • English Literature
  • European History

  • Physics B
  • Physics C
  • Statistics
  • U.S. History

If you've got an idea of whether or not medschools commonly accept credit for these courses, feel free to respond with information on it.

Do your own research.

I can see that you have nothing of note to add.
Please refrain from posting.

(In the case that you are new to forums, which I'm assuming you are, and have gained your post count through needless posts, always ask to yourself before you press submit, "Does my post add anything to the ongoing conversation, or present a new, interesting conversation relevant to the topic?" If not, you probably shouldn't have hit submit! Good luck with your future posts. 🙂)

Why do I even bother. Do the math and take my advice.

Thanks DICK

Point added to thread to note OP is a dickhead...

LOL, I C WUT U DID THER

On a side note, after further searching it would seem that most medical colleges are lax with rules regarding AP math credit, but stricter with science APs.

If you did well in them during your high school days, I would re-take them in college. You will get rid of any doubt with medical schools AND boost your GPA. Win-Win.

To answer your question, it really depends on the school. Some accept no AP credit. Most accept AP credit as long as it shows up on your transcripts. If a school doesn't accept AP credit, what they will allow you to do is use upper level classes to replace ones you got credit for. So if you got AP credit for Gen Bio I, you take an upper level class like cell bio, molecular, micro, whatever, and use that as the requirement.

Almost none of the calSchool accepts AP credits. Try to retake Bio from college. Some won't accept upper classes to replace BIO from AP.

Research your schools. If I were you, I'd retake bio and chem but not physics or eng.
