I'm a senior and for my 2 semesters of general chem, I took my AP score.

Since then, I've taken the corresponding 2 intro gen chem labs, orgo chem I, orgo chem I lab, orgo chem II, and next year, I'm going to take Biochem with Biochem labs.

Do you guys think this will be ok? or will I be in trouble with not completing the earlier courses? Which schools deny AP credit?

You should be okay as long as you complete the biochem courses. Usually schools ask for upper level chem (or any other AP) when you take AP credit for the intro course.

Most of the schools I have applied to say that if you get credit from your university for the AP class that they will accept it for meeting the requirements. For example, if your school gave you 4 credits for Chem 101 as the result of your AP score, the med school will consider that equivalent to actually having taken Chem 101 at your school. Best bet is to check with the schools you are interested in applying to. Hope this helps.

i would double check before applying as some schools are not all that cool with AP credit... maybe if you can use other classes in lieu of your chems then you will be set... either way check with the schools you are looking into.

I plan to get Bio [intro courses] credits thru' AP as I have a grad level course and a lab done already.

I have heard UCLA does not accept any AP credit. Is that true?
If anyone knows about any school not accepting AP credits, pl share the info'

thanks

NO. UCLA does NOT accept any AP credits for the pre-med requirements.

If you goto a school that gives you credit hours (its just they dont count towards GPA), do APs count for credit hours on the AMCAS as well?
