I completely agree. I don't want you to not be a doctor, I just question your character and decisions.

If I were you, I would donate the money to be a gold member (I think it is $20). Then I would delete the forums you started that are incriminating. On the AMCAS I would note that you got an IA. Spend time writing a very mature description of the situation and resolution. Then copy and paste it into every secondary that asks about it. You do the honest thing and have nothing to worry about in the future.

Edit: It's $40 for a Gold (the level you need to be able to delete your own threads).

This^. Just be honest, it will give you a lot of satisfaction once you get an acceptance. Also, I doesn't help that you get into arguments with people in here; we all try to help despite our differences in many things. Enjoy SDN since it surely is a great resource for us premeds. I kind of understand your frustration with your incident at school, but you got to move on, even LizzyM said it wasn't a deal breaker.

This institutional action thing is the least of your worries. From the way you talk around the forum, you will most likely blow your interview and be a long running joke amongst the adcomms for years to come.

OP, I don't know if you are a troll but I have to respond just in case you are not.

I am glad to see that you have stopped*posting. You are not going to resolve this situation by continuing to post on SDN. You will continue to get flamed which will only aggravate your situation.*

You have already been given all the advise SDN can give you. Reflect on it and set up a plan to move on and improve. You can do it. Everybody screws up at some point and the premed road is long and hard for many but you can not get stuck in a pity party. There are too many people who have it worse than we do. And you can't really judge another applicant and say you deserve it more than they do, because you really don't know what has happened on their journey.

Personally I have found that this process is so "ME ME ME" focused that it's not healthy. That is why community service is valuable. It takes the focus off of self! Find time to do the things that keep you centered. For me it's spending time outdoors. Maybe for you it's your music.

I recommend dropping this username and starting fresh. Live a life of integrity and life is so much easier.

I got that sense too. This personality infected me until I figured out what was wrong with this view, and I grew up (I think). I don't think this is the end of the OP's road.

Thanks for posting that I'm glad to hear someone else is bugged by it all. Writing all those prompts about myself was icky. And now I gotta follow up and do it all again - in person - in interviews. BLAH.

I agree with you, the series of posts have been so in depth and believable that I seriously doubt a troll would have ever thought it out so far ahead.

If however this is a very clever troll I'm not mad. I'm impressed.

It's annoying how you guys are so hyped up about trolls. Yes, there are a few people who can play with your emotions using the internet as a medium. But most of the people who go so in-depth like this aren't trolls, they're just immature kids who find themselves in disagreement with people who know better than them and can't handle it. Trolls are usually lazy; they want quick and easy thrills. Few people have the patience to go for the long haul.

For him/her, I would suggest first donating and then going just below "find all posts by" and click "find all threads by." The reason for this is that people have clicked quote and replied, so anything he changes by editing the posts will be forever maintained in the quotes. He has to delete the threads, which only a Gold donation can do.
