Sooo I haven't heard back from all the schools yet. So I picked up the phone to ask about my status.

A lot of school are telling me that it is still under review which I found it hard to believe. It has been 2.5 months ago!

Does adcom read your application, put it aside, change the status near december, and send a rejection if they don't like the application?

Is this somewhat a standard procedure?

They receive over 3000 applications so I can't imagine they put application aside and go through those applications again.

same situation. i sent in my AADSAS months ago, but my DAT scores were only received mid-sept. havent heard back anything just app is complete. all we can do is play the waiting game. . . i applied to 20 schools and at least the only rejection is NOVA which i wasnt expecting anyway...

stats are 3.3 cGPA 3.2 sGPA
22 AA 22TS 19 PAT... i feel that my dat is the only thing keeping me in the game as my ECs are non existent.

implants,, i have similar stats with you. 3.2 ogpa 3.3sgpa. DAT AA=24 TS=25 PA=27. I was in the first batch, so I'm pretty sure all of the schools that I applied to has looked at my application. I've had four interviews (So grateful, thank God! Definately DAT helped) and I'm not expecting any more. I think most schools would have finished looking at the app after almost 3 months. Now, the chances are slim unless many pre-december interviewees do not accept a schools offer and they have to re-look over more application.

I actually had good news today and it took them about 11 weeks. (after my application was fully completed and re-sent).
I think that schools are legitimately still going through applications and taking longer than the expected '4 weeks'.

I was whining like a bictchy little kid lol. Wish you guys the best luck!! Here we come CLASS OF 2016!!

I wanted to call all the schools I applied to but I dont know how to ask them without sounding like that they should pick up my app now and look at it. How do y'all do it? What do you ask when you call the admissions office?

i called and say that i wanted to make sure i have all the necessary documents (dat, LORs, etccc)

they check and and tell me they have everything (which I know already 😀)
then i ask by any chance, do you know my status???

much smoother then just saying that what's is my status

My stuff has been at some early interviewing schools for 7 weeks but no word. Not expecting good news. 👎thumbdown

Im hitting the 2 month mark for most of my schools.
Im also starting to see my friends get interviews even though they completed their application 1-2 months after me.

Because of this Im feeling like I wont be getting good news from any of the schools.
