Anyone know if VA sites give veteran applicants interview/match priority?

I've seen it give a slight bump, if two applicants are otherwise similarly ranked, it could move someone up a spot or two. Never seen it do much more than that.

I’ve seen a few sites say “all else being equal, veterans may be given a higher ranking.” Thus, based off service status alone, likely no. Many civilians serve and train in the VAHS.

I’ve heard many VAs do, however, want applicants sometimes to have done at least one VA prac, but that’s not a firm requirement either per se.

Anyone knows if internship sites consider full-time clinical work experience as 1) much lesser than 2) slightly lesser than 3) equal to 4) better than practicum experience?
