Questions 127 in chapter 3: If 15% of patients with alcohol dependence commit suicide and 10% for schizophrenia, how is 0.4% for a mood disorder the highest rate of suicide? My understanding of age-adjusted rates is that it is just a correction for comparison among groups with different age populations, so that doesn't seem to explain it.
Question 128: How is "age 45 or greater" a better predictive variable for suicide than depression?
