Gang,

April 30th was the last day for refundable deposits, I understand that. I have only heard hearsay of this in the past but is May 15th the last day to hold multiple acceptances at schools? Or is it new this year with the new traffic rules? Or was that never the case?

April 30, per the traffic rules.

"9. If youreceive an offer of acceptance from more than one school or program, choose the school at which you will enroll by April 30. Then, promptly withdraw your application, by written correspondence, from all other schools or programs that have offered you an acceptance."

Thanks lsmet. Appreciate the response.

I didn't see any definitive timeframe given in the new traffic rules about what constitutes "promptly". I'm on the alternate list at two different schools so I'm just trying to wrap my head around what kind of movement will be going on from here until the class is officially full.

Right now most accepted applicants are only holding one acceptance. The applicants that are holding more than one acceptance are in that position because they were accepted off a waitlist after April 30th and are given X amount of time (usually a week) to make a decision. Of course there are people with acceptances that are on waitlists hoping to get off. Basically it's a cycle until schools start M1 year. Some schools have more waitlist movement than others. Ultimately all you can do is wait and hope for the best.
