I am confused since nowhere (at least that ive seen) on the application does it mention what to do with repeated courses. I have repeated a few classes science and non-science but in the self GPA calculation worksheet I don't know what to do. Anyone have any insight? There was a post earlier that showed some instructions that mentioned you put them on the same line but I think that was back when you did paper applications or something. Anyone find any instructions on the application? Thanks for your help!

yes actually the application does say what to do. you first list your first grade for a class and if you go down it asks if you repeated, you choose yes and then you put in your final grade(retake grade)

Yes, but that is for the required courses only. As far as calculating overall science and non-science GPA I still do not know what to do. There are many science and many non-science classes that fall outside the required courses. Specifically, I am referring to items 1.10, 1.11, and 1.12 in the "colleges attended" section. Anyone have any additional insight? Thanks! 🙂

sorry about that hightower. my mistake. i am surprised that the link midway through that page doesn't show what to do. i think some schools will tell you different things, but i think if you put down all grades including retake...it would be best, but if you are worried go ahead and contact aacpmas 👍

No problem at all, I don't think it would be best to put down both since it could kill your potential GPA if you have done bad in classes but then repeated it and did well, in other words on my transcript when I repeated a class it does list the grade but says "repeat" next to it and the grade is eliminated from that semesters GPA and the repeated grade is factored into the semester in which you repeated the class. I got an "E" (or F if you will) in a class early on and retook the class and got an A-. If the first grade was factored in completely then that would be very bad. I have had to repeat some other courses as well. Anyway, I really hope at the very least that there would be some sort of system to average the two grades but hopefully they consider the most recent. Anyway, maybe I should contact AACPM, thanks for your thoughts 🙂
