I was wondering if there is a checklist somewhere, or if we can make a homemade checklist, of stuff that would be on the ideal candidate's AMCAS application? This checklist would be useful to everyone to ensure that there isn't anything important that you just forgot about. Wouldn't it be terrible to submit your application and then be like, oh yeah, I really should have mentioned being employed by a hospital for a year!? Whoops! (Maybe there's less obvious important stuff that's easier to leave off.)

Many people make their own spreadsheet.

AMCAS has a summary page that displays what sections are complete and incomplete. You can use that as your checklist to make sure you've filled out everything.

Thanks, but that's not what I mean. I meant, a list of qualities and activities of an ideal candidate. Like, altruistic (does my application show that I'm altruistic, if I am?), research experience (did I forget to mention the best of my research accomplishments?), etc.
