Application completed at schools at the end of August...any word yet?

How long does it usually take from application complete to getting a response (except rejections)?
 
Nothing for me except continuing review from UB today. Is it normal for us august guys to have not heard from anyone yet? specifically: columbia penn nyu umdnj??
 
I think it depends on the scores. I have not heard anything yet ( well, 2 rejection) but I know other people with stronger application who have alreay got some interviews and their application was completed late Aug.

Heard from where?
 
Most of my apps were completed 8/23 or later. I got an invite from BU yesterday. My app for them was completed on 8/26. I'm also a mass resident so that may have played a factor. Haven't heard from anyone else.

I don't think being a resident makes any difference for private school and I bet it was your Stats.

What was your GPA and DAT ?

Did you get an app complete email from BU? i think my last email from them was a receipt for my fee payment.

Thanks 🙂 Yea, I'm fringe for a lot of schools in terms of GPA so hoping the DAT carries me through. I submitted my AADSAS on july 6th but my transcript from canada and LORs delayed me a month and half :/

No app complete email but AADSAS status was changed to under review on 8/26

my apps were mailed on 8/15 and i have an interview invite from nyu and rejection from nova. both happened quicker than i expected.
 
My apps were complete around the end of August - about Aug 25-30 depending on when some schools deposited the app. fee.

I got a rejection from Nova, and interviews from Indiana and Midwestern IL.

Haven't heard from ANYONE else. No "continued review" or rejections or invites or anything. Hoping to get something soon, anything! The wait is so stressful.

For BU, did you get an e-mail saying that your application is complete and will be under review?
And when did you get the AADSAS update?

Hmmm my mailing was 8/20 and i still domt have any status on aadsas for BU

EDIT: just called BU and they said they my app is complete and should be under review. Apparently the status isnt showing up for a lot of ppl

NYU sent an email that your application is being reviewed? I got that last year, but not this year so I called them this morning and they said it has been forwarded to the adcom in mid-august. I don't know why some people receive it and some people don't...

Sent w/ DAT 8/20
Latest news I have from my schools:

UPenn- cashed my check, but NOTHING...no AADSAS/e-mails
NYU- Application Complete 8/20 via e-mail
Columbia- Application complete 8/23 via AADSAS (but like some other people, still says they haven't received my DAT. I think they just didn't update the supplemental section)
Harvard- Nothing
BU- Fee submitted 8/16. Nothing on AADSAS
Tufts- Haven't sent my money yet...my bad.
UW- Application received/under review 8/13. Not even at the supplemental/application fee stage. maybe bc I'm out of state in addition to being late?

Better get something soon or else I'll keep wasting my time checking my e-mail at least 20 times a day :laugh:

UoP- Application complete/under review 9/7 via AADSAS. Got the "it'll take up to 8 wks" note
UCSF- Received/waiting for additional info 8/26 via AADSAS. Submitted my supplementary about a week ago, so doubt I'm anywhere near being reviewed. also OOS
 
i think it depends...someone turned their app after me and they got an interview while i didnt....thatone had better stats than me...

WOW, we are literally sitting on each other's laps (no homo) on the exact same boat. i have the same 2 mailing dates as you and applied to the same schools (mostly). no word yet.

JB, you have awesome stats. My guess is that the adcoms have yet evaluate your application. If I were you, I won't worry too much with those numbers. 👍

I pretty much submitted the same time that you did, and have the same status with UW..so that makes me feel better knowing someone else out of state is in the same boat. Hopefully we will hear something soon!
 
After the school receives all of the application materials, do schools then go by the order of when the application is complete or by the order of when you submitted your AADSAS application?
 
My app was mailed out 8/27 and 9/3. Got interview to nova on Monday. I still have to complete LA, temple, penn, and tuft.
 
honestly, mine was mailed out 9/10 and i'm pretty sure my LORs haven't been received by AADSAS yet. nevertheless, i got an email from UMDNJ yesterday for an interview.

i was really surpised because my stats arent even that high.... bcp: 3.82, overall: 3.75, AA: 19, PAT: 20, TS: 19.
 
My application was submitted 7/23, but with my DAT (which I took August 7th and faxed to schools that would take them) was submitted 8/27. I got an interview from Indiana even before my DAT was uploaded, but since then (about 4 weeks ago) I have not heard anything but a couple application complete emails.
I feel like I am going NUTS. My information is on predents. Do you guys think I missed the boat? I feel like I get harder and harder on myself everyday🙁

I am going NUTS too. I'm in the same exact boat as you. Hopefully soon!!!
 
I'm so frustrated. I waste so much time checking SDN and email. I wish I could just hear something and move forward. I do have 3 interviews which I'm thankful for but only 2 pre-Dec and I haven't heard from top choices yet. This is killing me!
 
only 2 interviews.. whats going on?? i think some people with later mailing dates are getting interviews before us!!
 
I don't think it has anything to do with our mailing date. My guess is that my application isn't good enough or something, maybe my PS is bad, maybe someone wrote a bad LOR. Sigh... who knows. 🙁

Either way I am sure we will get at least a couple more interviews eventually! I applied to sooo many schools ... if I don't get any more I will be shocked ... so much money gone.

And bieber your DAT scores and GPA are amazing!!!

i just completed most of my apps this week (mailed 8/27). applying early does make a difference. all my interviews are post-dec. I am pretty sure when i schedule for case, its going to be like april something. There are a few school that havent given out any interview so dun worry.
