Members don't see this ad.

UOP lost my DAT scores!!! well.. they say they don't have it... maybe they misplaced it... all i know is that the don't care enough to even try to find it...

i called UOP cuz i checked the status of my app today online.. and found out that my application is on hold b/c they don't have my DAT score report!!!!

how could this be? i had confirmed with ADA that my scores were sent out on 9/14th...

so i called ADA... and they said.. yups... my scores were definitely sent out to UOP on the 14th... hard copy AND electronic copy...

i call UOP again... they say they don't have it... nothing!! nada!! neither hard copy nor electronic...

what am i to do as an applicant?!?!?! 😡
ADA is telling me one thing.. and UOP is telling me another thing...

and of course it's not like people from ADA or UOP admissions are nice about it either... RAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

i mean.. i have no choice but to ask ADA to resend my DAT scores again.. but that keeps my file on hold for another week!!!!!

I had the same thing happen with Louisville. The lady at the ADA was very very helpful about the whole thing, her name is Cindy. When I explained that Louisville claimed they never received my scores, she offered to send them for me for free again. All I had to do was fax a letter to her explaining the situation and she sent it first thing the next day. Louisville received my scores very quickly after that.

RELAX! The scores were mailed out on the 14th which means UOP will get them next week. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to get to the schools. Don't ask me why a sheet of paper with scores on it takes so long to send when it could be sent it one day but that's just the way it is.

Don't get upset at UOP because that would look bad on your part. A lot of us get worried and stressed over dental admissions but the important thing is you can't show that to admissions people!

When you are a dentist you'll have to deal with things that don't go your way. So yell at AADSAS and the ADA all you want but not to ad coms!!

No they aren't. But still it can help to make a good impression with them. For example, I visited a lot of the schools I applied to while AADSAS was bumbling around with my application.

I got to meet a lot of admissions people and now when my application arrives, they remember me and are very helpful with making sure everything is there.

I highly doubt admissions people are going to remember you when your app arrives and treat your file with extra care. But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night 👍

the same thing happened to me.. i just got a letter from upenn saying they haven't received my official dat scores.. but my scores were sent out in mid august.. now i hafta call ada up again and resend it to upenn.. hopefully this isn't a trend .. 😡
is ada open on sundays?

but do call ada aSAP on Monday... ask for cindy... and fax her a letter...

cindy told me that if i were to fax her the letter on a friday.. she'll resend the scores by monday.. and if sent on monday.. then... she'll resend them on wednesday...

just thinking that the only thing holding back my apps were my DAT scores... which should've been there since looooooooong time ago makes me wanna cry....

that just depends on the mailman... hehe...

to give you a rough estimate though... when i called the schools to see if they had received my DAT scores... it took about 1 week...

No I think it means they found your check...Duh!
