So my question is this:

Say the deadline to the school is October 15; you submitted your AMCAS primary on September 10, but it hasn't gotten verified yet. You get verified on October 16 (yes I know that's a Saturday, but for arguments sake...)

Now does the school view that you applied on 9/10, or 10/16?

Anyone have a definite answer (I prefer no speculation... =) )

THANKS! 🙂

In terms of deadlines, you will have applied 9/16. The date that counts for deadlines is when you clicked "submit" on your primary.

That being said, you do not want to do this. I know you're being hypothetical etc etc., but your schools won't get your application until mid-October. This means that there will be a TON of applications in front of you waiting for review. Not only that, but a lot of schools do not send their secondaries immediately after they receive your primary, so you may not get a secondary until a few weeks before their secondary deadline. Not good.

Unless you have a compelling reason for this, get your primary AMCAS in ASAP.

If you are applying this cycle, then good luck to you. 🙂

All pertinent information can be found in the AMCAS handbook online. I would google it, but you can probably do it yourself. 🙂
