Hello, wondering where I should apply this cycle. I have a 3.4 oGPA, 3.25 sGPA and a 22 AA with 25 PAT. I only have enough money for about 8 schools due to being a very disadvantaged student. In addition I’m a first generation and URM (African-American). I only include that because it seems like people often ask that. (I personally don’t want to get something I didn’t work for I just know it’s a factor 🙂). I’m an Ohio resident but attend undergrad in KY. I have a lot of leadership (RA and Football captain) research (~400 hours), volunteer (~125 hours) and shadowing (~150 hours). Feel like O State and U of L would be my top 2 but I know they’re reaches. Also, finally I’m an All Conference athlete if that makes a difference!

TS is a 21 :/. Got a 25 in O Chem and 25 I. Gen Chem but an 18 in bio. :/ Yes write my personal statement I think it’s very very good. Also 3/4 of my Letters of rec are already in.

You’ll likely get in this cycle. Apply to your in state schools and out of state friendly schools. Use the adea guide/explorer to dental schools to tell you which are oos friendly. Look specifically at the number of OH students each school took last year. If univ of michigan isn’t already on your list I’d recommend you apply there as one of your oos friendly schools.

Will do that right now for sure. Thanks for your help brother.

as a URM myself, if I were in this upcoming cycle I would apply to Meharry, Marquette, Louisville
