TMDSAS requires us to upload a photo, as do many secondaries. Would a photo taken outdoors in business attire still be considered professional? The background would be some trees (nothing distracting or busy). I've seen a few professional photos taken outdoors and I really like them, but I'm wondering if med school adcoms still prefer traditional photo backgrounds (i.e. white, gray, etc.). Thank you.

At least wear a jacket and tie (if male). No headgear. Less like a prom/senior high school photo and more like a photo that the professors at your university have on their LinkedIn profiles. For example, Duke professional photography loves putting students or faculty in front of the "Duke stone" facade. IYKYK.

And don't make it too obvious if you use an AI touch-up. Definitely don't look like Jesus. 😉
