Application Q(need help)

Hey everyone,

I have a question regarding applications. Well, Iam planning to submit my application this comin june. But I have low GPA(Below 3.0). I am doin master degree startin this Summer. I have decent DAT(above 20). Do you guys think that i should wait a year then apply or apply and then update my transcript later on.I very desparate right now and don't know wat to do. I spoke to one of the the ad commitee and she said wat the heck and go and apply..but dont know really wat to do...I would appreciate if you throw out some ideas.

Even with a 20+, that stat might not be enough for CA schools if that's where you plan on going...

well that's not my ques...I'm wondering whether to apply this year(comin JUNE) since I'm startin my master this summer or wait a year then apply..😕😕😕😕😕

If you have the money, I would suggest just go ahead and apply. Don't get your hopes up though, however.

I think you would stand a much better chance after you get your master. Just my 2 cents. 🙂

I spoke to couple Deans( columbia, Case) and they said I should apply .and i could send my grades later on...but still don't know wat to do?????????????????????????

if you've got 1,000 bucks, go ahead and apply. anything can happen. at the least it will be good experience for the next cycle.

if you dont want to "waste" the money on a cycle where you most likely will be rejected, then save your money...

simple enough.

Can you be more specific on your DAT scores? A breakdown would help.

First off, good job on your DAT scores. As for the gpa issue. When you apply do so when you have complied a nice block of high marks in upper level sciences. I would imagine that your Master's program will help you achieve this goal. How were your grades the last 3 or 4 semesters? Dental schools want to see some consistency with regards to your grades. If you can show this it will help prove your point that you can in deed handle the insane work load in dental school. Good luck, keep working hard and your dream will come true!!!👍👍
