hi there guys, im applying for a summer school placement and i am stuck
on one of the application questions, i was wondering if someone could
pleeeeeease help me, the question is;

How do you see the role of the Optometrist in driving an optics business of the future. Can you tell us about a time when you demonstrated these characteristics?

Best regards

I can understand why you might be having some trouble. First of all, that question seems as if it isn't worded correctly, as if the second question has nothing to do with the first question. Judging from the second question, I'm thinking the first question is asking what characteristics a successful "business-owning" optometrist would have. In my opinion, I'd try to think of a situation in your own life that you are proud of, and make the characteristics you held in that situation fit the characteristics of a business owner.

Something like "When I was in high school, I had my own lawn mowing service. I was very resourceful in my efforts to gain some community interest; I handed out flyers and gave business cards to all of my clients for them to give to other interested people. I believe a business owning optometrist must have the same resourcefulness."

I hope that helps at least a little bit, and I also hope I'm not leading you down the wrong path. Good luck!
