Hey guys, I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I was looking at last years application to get an idea of what I needed to prepare for and it says to list only the required biology, chemistry, physics, etc... courses. Does this mean I only list the first 8 credits of each or do I list all biology, chemistry, etc... I have taken? I hope that makes sense, thanks

Someone has to know this, didn't anyone apply last year?

You list everything. I'm not sure if you have applied to DO or MD programs but it is the same thing. You list every class from every year and see where it is biology, chemistry ect. If you had a lab, you grade, how many credit hours, so on and so forth.

You list only the pre reqs...if you have more than one pre req in that area than you list them all. All of the pre reqs must have a lab component unless it is an English course.

Maybe it has changed, but it was my understanding that all of your classwork was enter to calculate your GPA.

I have a question, if the pre-reg is 8 hours of biology then can I just put in my best class?
For example if I got Cs in biol 1&2 and I got As in Human AP 1 & 2 then should I just put in the grade for Human AP 1&2 (Human AP 1&2 + labs are 8 hours credit and it only required for 8 hrs credit of pre-reg)

That is wierd. I always thought you entered all your grades like feelgood said. What would be the point of finishing a degree if you only needed the pre reqs. Isn't there some stat that says a very large percentage have bachelors?I thought it was like 80-90 percent.

Thats exactly what I did.

You enter only the pre reqs, but you send each school your transcripts.

Again, it may have changed but I remember the admissions staff having to confirm the GPA calculations. Either way make sure you read the directions on the application. If you only put your pre-reqs, it would not matter b/c they will see all of your grades anyways.

Well, now that we got that resolved I have another question. Have you guys already started sending in your materials, like transcripts, LOR's, etc...? Also, if some of my LOR's take a little longer to get there will this delay them reviewing my application? Do you need to have a completed application to receive interviews? Thanks

Just my opinion, but I would ask these questions to the admissions staff at the colleges you are interested in. I would hate for you get your misinformed. Meghan Smith, the admissions director at CPM, is very nice and she is always very quick to respond. If you have a question just get her email address of the DMU website and ask her. That way you have a more reliable source.

If your application will be complete on sept 4 it is a good idea to order them now because it will prob take about 2 weeks atleast for them to recieve and process them.

Thought I'd bump this up. Did you guys that applied already list all science classes and not just the required ones? When do you think it would be considered late to apply? I hope to have my app sent in by mid next week.
