Just to clarify a few things...how do you request your DAT scores sent to each individual school you're applying to? I thought the AADSAS "common app" took care of that? Also, we need to submit additional checks to each of the schools we're applying to?

The DAT scores get sent from the ADA, AADSAS only does your "application" part and transcripts. When you request to register for the DAT, you designate your schools then. And you need to go on AADSAS under "dental school designation" AFTER you have e-submitted your app online, and follow the supplemental instructions for each school. There's a link next to each designation.

To clarify a bit more, you need to order your official DAT score reports after you e-submit your application. You will have to order them from ADA website http://www.ada.org/prof/ed/testing/dat/index.asp (scroll down) electronically.

The only thing you have to pay attention to is which schools want your score report now or later. You will have to find that out from the supplemental material section on the AADSAS (ADEA website).

As for application fee to each school, you can also find out the amount and if the schools want you to send them the money right the way (most likely YES!) from the supplemental material section as well. I would send the money asap because schools will not look at your apps until they received your money. Hence, the earlier is indeed better.
