Hey guys, its June 25th and our applications have officially been sent to all medical schools!

When should I expect to get some secondaries??

Just got an amazingly made secondary asking for nothing but money.

got my SLU secondaries minutes ago!
 
0 for 15 here. Slightly anti-climatic as I check my email every hour or so.
 
I hated receiving it. A taste of things to come.
 
do they check the apps in order even if you were verified before the 25th? I submitted the 10th, verified the 19th. Would my app be checked slightly later than someone verified on the 10th?
 
Just saw a (1) in my inbox. Got SUPER excited. It was my weekly Ticketmaster update. :laugh:

Did everyone who applied to Columbia get their secondary invite? I haven't received it yet and I was verified 10 days ago. (I know you can fill it out without an invitation, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem with my email or something)

I haven't received any secondaries yet either.
 
I was verified at 8:04am CT this morning. Did I make the cut?

Also, how do schools send secondaries? Email? AMCAS?

Is there some way of knowing that your primary was submitted to schools?

I mean, who really needs money for secondaries?? they're only like $10 a pop right...?

Well, I guess you just have to trust that AMCAS didn't screw you over...

Yes, you'll get an e-mail (usually) sending you a link to the secondary.

I know there were people verified before me (I was verified on the 10th) and I have started receiving secondaries today. So I guess they just sent out all the apps that were verified before the 25th.
 
Oh connecticut, how wonderful to see your secondary app changed from a word document to a PDF, finally.

And to see you've decided to not divide question 2 into 2 questions.

I just received the Michigan interview invite also (in my spam folder). It must be an auto-screen. easypeaces, did you have only two dates to choose from?

Still waiting for the Columbia secondary, though I guess you don't need the invite to fill it out. At least now I know my stuff has been transmitted.

i havent got mine yet and my friend who also applied didnt. We are both solid for stats so I wouldnt worry yet

Yeah, only two dates: August 27 or September 10. Kinda limits my options because the 27 is the first Friday of class, and I have one Friday-only class. Wouldn't want to miss the first day!

And they eliminated the what will be the biggest issue facing the medical community in the future question.


No secondaries in my spam folder but if anyone is looking for some online discounted viagra or needs to add 1-3 inches quick PM me. 😉

👍 I was thinking the exact same thing!

Also, if you guys are getting this antsy waiting for secondaries, you're in for a looooooooooooong cycle

I called the admissions office and they said that they are just "starting" to send them out today. Though everyone gets one, so not sure why there is a delay? She also said that you can just fill it out online without waiting for the invitation, so I'll probably get started on that.
 
Be sure to check your spam boxes.... found two secondaries there.
 
0/16 so far. Luckily no one has a secondary from schools I applied to besides Columbia so far. I really want my UC ones

I just got an email from UW madison saying that they received my primary, so I assume that means I slipped through on time 🙂
 
Just lost my first $100 to Mayo, 18 more schools to be paid 🙁
