Application Tips with Apply Point: Don't Memorize Your Elevator Pitch

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Prepare and practice some possible versions of your elevator pitch to ensure you're not going wildly under or over the three-minute mark. Don't try to memorize anything word-for-word. Unless you're an Academy Award-winning actor, this will lead to fumbling with your words or coming off as wooden. But have an outline in mind—some milestones you know you want to pass.
