On the AACOMAS application they ask for Father, Mother, Guardian information. Do they want biological/legal or who raised me? Obviously I don't want the information to conflict but I would rather not mention my biological mother and there may be confusion if comparing that information with the information in my personal statement (I talk about "my parents" which are my father and step mother). I didn't seen anything in the instructions. Apparently they thought that should be an easy question...

Also, sorry if this is somewhere else on the forum, couldn't find it.

I would venture to guess legal guardians.

I don't think that you're required to answer those questions... I left most of them blank on my vet school application b/c my parents didn't consent to providing me with confidential information. Didn't hurt me.

AACOMS wants the parents that raised you. They don't care about bio parents unless they are the ones that supported you.

This is not tied to your PS, nor will anyone compare. The space in your application is more tied to financial questions that will come if you get accepted (or applied for a fee waiver).

Good luck!

Along the same lines, do we have to input information about our siblings? It seems like it's optional..

The wording made me think "no" therefore I put information about the two brothers I would be willing to and like to talk about and left out the two brothers I don't like...

Truly for demographics more than anything. All of this information is essentially optional.
