What is your average practice test right now?

i am averaging 30-32. i want to get my application in early and not be in a disadvantage. was thinking of sending in old score with indication of taking mcat in june day.

That's what I would want to do too.

I would apply to one school and then add more when the new score is updated. The app will go to them as soon as you pay.

While you wait for your scores to come back, maybe pre write some secondaries.

yh but there is no open seats for June in California. i am checking everyday. u guys think a seat will open up.

Probably not any time soon but you will have to wait until closer to the date when people find themselves unprepared and want to postpone. When they do this, spots open up but will be taken quickly.

You should have signed up months ago.

Yup. I'm waiting to pounce on another seat in my hometown. Unfortunately, due to AMCAS boobery, I had to drop my original seat date which got filled. Now I have to drive 3 hours to another city to sit for it (though I realize some people have it far worse).

I drove 6 hours to take it my first time. Second time, I only had a 10 minute drive. I was a lot smarter with signing up for the test and got a seat the day they were released.

How far in advance would you advise signing up for the MCAT??

Sooo...when you say apply to one school, you pay for that one school and that one school only until your new score comes in? Sorry, I'm still tryna get the ropes

1. Depends on where you live and the number of testing centers available. I'm from a rural area and our local testing center only has 6 computers, so I signed up 5 months in advance. If you're from an area with a lot of testing centers, you might be able to wait a little longer to schedule, but it's better to be early and safe than wait and end up having to drive/fly somewhere.

2. Yes. You can always add on more schools at any time, but you need to submit to at least one school in order to enter into the verification process.
