Hi all,
I am trying to decide whether or not to submit my application for this cycle. I am still waiting to get my MCAT score back and was going to submit my application with only one school listed, and then add others once I receive my score if I like it. On the other hand, if I end up getting a score worse than I expect, I will not add other schools to my list and will instead take a year off to improve my ECs. If I apply this year and do not like my score, how harmful will it be to my next application cycle if I apply this year?
I was looking on the AAMC website and came across this: "You are only a reapplicant to schools that previously received an AMCAS application from you. For example, if you applied to School A and School B last year, you would be considered a reapplicant at both of those schools if you apply to them this year. You would not be considered a reapplicant at School C since you did not previously apply to that school."
Is that true for all schools? If I reapply next year, my committee letter may tell medical schools that I am am in fact a re-applicant, so would the FAQ on the AAMC no longer hold true?
