A 14 AA should warrant admission to the school for the feeble minded, not dental school.

howard takes a good number of non-urms. i'm not sure whether these acceptees typically also come from a disadvantaged background. i was advised to apply there and am white and not disadvantaged.

i have a cousin who went to meharry, but i'm pretty sure they only take like 2 non-urms a year, so i would probably skip it.

Actually there are several schools that accepted applicants with DAT scores of 14 and below, but since we know nothing about the circumstances of the particular enrollee(s) in question your opinion may be overstated. Ds might prefer to have an applicant that worked 80 hours a week over one that coasted and managed say a more "respectable" 17-19. It is hard to imagine that adcoms don't know what they are doing no matter which school may be in question.
