Hey guys! I have no A in hand so I am applying again...I'm currently trimming my school list..Can you help? Thanks!
My stats: 4.0 & 503, retook- 514 GPA:4.0

Hobbies: cooking, reading, watercolor painting

Clinical Paid work: MA at an internal med doc currently- 100 hours so far- projected 400 hr by the time I apply

Clinical Volunteering: Volunteering at pediatrics dental clinic - 200 hrs, Volunteering at non-profit family doc place for underserved - 240 hrs by the time I apply

Non-clinical paid work: TA for Gen chem one semester- 340 hours, Waitress- 4 years- 2,000 hrs

Non-clinical volunteering: Food bank at religious organization: 200 hours

Shadowing: 80 hours for a internal medicine doc

Research: 200 hours in a lab for a semester - basic science- wet lab work

Won scholarship to study abroad in Asia for 6 weeks, ATA for anatomy/ phys for 1.5 years- 700 hours

Overrepresented in Med, no immediate family in medicine

I had one II in state but turned into rejection this cycle...

With your app it was probably a late app/bad school list that got you. An adcom will have a good idea of a school list for you. @Goro

Seems like a good app. Bad LOR or essays might be an issue.

A 2x MCAT taker should have a few DO schools on the list.

I think my Personal Statement wasn't great and I submitted most of my apps late August til October and my schools this currently cycle were top heavy.

Your state schools.
Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me.

At the end of the cycle, reach out to the Admissions deans where you rejected and see if they can give you feedback.

Also work on interviewing skills.

Apply no later than mid August

Re-write all essays and have multiple eyeballs vet them

@Goro: an important question is whether OP applied with a 503 and retook for a 514 after the cycle didn't pan out or whether she had a 503 and 514 at application time.
