Applying before or after summer retakes

I was thinking of applying again to MD/DO if I don't get in this year (1 waitlist at DO so far). But wanted to know your thoughts on applying ASAP when app opens up, or applying right after finishing summer retakes on a few courses--since my app wouldnt have changed significantly since applying last summer and will change a lot more this summer with DO grade replacement. so would it be wise to apply after summer grades are out or while still in the summer courses?

When would your classes finish? You'll have more leeway with AACOMAS waiting since the app deadlines are slightly later and I would imagine not as many folks submitting in June like AMCAS. It depends on when you would receive your grades and be able to send in transcripts but if it is anything past late June for AMCAS I would submit without them and then update. I submitted AMCAS in July and that wasn't too bad.
