Applying Early Decision/Verification

I have seen several things from several sources and cannot seem to get a direct answer. Do individuals who apply early decision to one school get moved to the top of the verification pile (usually verified within a few days)?

My daughter submitted last night as an early admission and was verified today. Her transcripts have been in for over a month though.
