hi

just wondering what is the appropriate way to look for a job when you don't really have anywhere to start. can you pick up a phone and call OD's offices? most of the time, you don't really get to speak to them.

anyone have any insight? ODs - what do you think?

Are you talking about getting a permanent position after graduation? or working in an OD's office while still a student?

For OD jobs, the state association of where you want to look is the best starting point. Even attending local society meetings will get you some leads.

Many of the job listing sites will have 25 listings, all for part-time positions at Sears, etc. Often places that have sat empty for years and cannot support a doc.
