Hello everyone
Is it late now to apply to dental schools?
AA 18
TS 18
GPA 3.79
I'm retaking DAT in December.

It is too late in my book. I'd prepare for next cycle and have everything ready June or July to send out your application.

Your GPA is good but it's really late to apply. Perhaps if you get a 22/23+ on the DAT you'd have a shot but I feel like the timing is bad and luck might not be in your favor.

By the time your application is processed, which may be mid November or early December, you are very late. Your DAT doesn't stand out, and given around two thousand or so applicants that apply to a school, you want to stand out this late in the game since many seats will be given out in December.

You could try if you have the funds.

Ok. Because I thought some schools that have till February, it might be a ok.
Thank you so much

Schools have a deadline but every school highly recommends sending your application well before the deadline. A good date is in June or July.

I would apply next cycle and depending on the rest of what your DAT scores look like maybe retake it.

I would take your time and study for the DAT and then apply early next year!!

If your state school is still accepting applications, maybe try applying there. They are usually open to their state's students.
