This might seem like a trivial question, but it seems to be a big problem for me. I'm trying to apply to a retail store: walgreens, CVS, etc. People tell me that the best way is to just walk in and ask if there are any openings. But when I do that, they always tell me to just apply online. They never have paper applications. Then what's the point of walking in and asking about it?

I'm still a student and I don't have much experience applying to "real" jobs.

Apply online then go back to the store and drop off a resume. Be persistent.

Yeah they are real douchbags. With walgreens you have to apply online first and then the store. For some reason they don't like it when you apply in store. Keep trying.

Apply online to all the stores. Call each to see if they're hiring. If yes, walk in professionally and drop off ur resume to the pharmacy manager. Here's your chance to shine with ur personality.

You have to apply online and then call one of the pharmacies and ask for the DM's phone number or you can email them and ask if they have any openings. But in this market, they probably wouldn't even look at you until you have your license.
