Applying for professional lines of credit

I am presently applying for lines of credit to cover my tuition and living costs for school in the USA. I will need 2 lines of credit,(1 LOC at each bank) since my anticipated costs are beyond the max for any bank.I've been approved for 1 LOC. Has anyone done this before? Andy do's and don'ts for approaching the second bank for the LOC?

I have two LOC's. I applied for one, got approved for the max amount they would give (150k), then applied for a second line of credit for another 100k. Of course the second bank already knew about my first LOC. You have to tell them because they will find out anyway when the check in the computer. It is doable, but I had to have a very strong co-signor and eventually had to put our house up for collateral. Good luck!
