Hey Gang,

Forgive my ignorance, but should I be applying for financial aid now even though I haven't been accepted? I'm a Texas resident applying to Texas schools with 3.78 sGPA 21 AA so I reckon I'm still under consideration for acceptance (interviewed at all three schools in September and November). Is there a website or forum I can go to learn about different financial aid options and such? I was hoping to be accepted by now and told what to do by the dental school regarding finacial aid but since that hasn't happened I don't want to be accepted late and not be able to afford school.

Thanks!

Submit your FAFSA and then update it when a school accepts you.

Submit your 2017-18 FAFSA ASAP. Check on each school's website to verify whether they have other requirements (some schools require submission of other documents in addition to the FAFSA) and whether you should finish your application as a waitlisted student or when you are formally accepted.

You can receive both the Federal Direct Unsubsidized and Federal Direct Grad PLUS Loans. Eligibility for grants and other low-interest loans will vary by school.
